As a long time RN this terrifies me. AI can not adequately assess any aspect of nursing care. Many times our assessment not only takes into consideration what a patient responds with but they way they respond with body language. We treat patients according to what we observe using both objective and subjective criteria. Often it is not based on one specific piece of data. Patients need real eyes, ears and physical examinations to determine the best course of treatment, not just algorithms and the best guess a non human brain can determine. Please consider the subtle symptoms that may not trigger the best treatment. AI is a tool that can be applied to enhance the nursing process but can in no way replace it.
