Generative AI is both very broad and very specific. Is it the FDA’s stance that devices that derive information from existing research and generate insights be termed generative? Causal AI models approach the task in a very different way and have more power in healthcare in terms of causal versus correlation analysis. I would recommend either a broader explanation of the AI enabled devices, or to create a causal ai proposal mirroring this one.
